Meet Saint Clairmont, a beautiful, refined and personal jewelery brand from Arnhem. We spoke to Anouk, the owner, who founded and made Saint Clairmont big. We spoke to her about starting the brand, growing on Orderchamp, her vision for the future, and more!

How did you get started with Saint Clairmont?

I used to travel a lot and lived in Bali for a while. There I also met my then boyfriend. Together we packed our things, we moved to England and I got pregnant. When my son was born, and my then boyfriend worked abroad a lot, I started looking for a job. Especially because of my young son, I wanted to work from home and that's why I came up with the idea to start my own webshop.

When travelling a lot and living in Bali, I had a blog on wordpress. I really liked that and thought that building my own webshop would also work for me. This turned out to be a bit more difficult than expected, but after nine months, the webshop could finally go live. When the website went live, I started thinking about what I could sell… jewelry! I started buying jewelry from a wholesaler, but the quality was very poor. I continued my search and found a wholesaler where I could buy the products to craft jewelry myself. Half a year, I started using stainless steel, which is very long-lasting and is of good quality. Stainless steel is very difficult to work with by hand, but I do it anyway. I still create everything myself.

When did you start with Orderchamp?

In November 2021 I was approached by Orderchamp. I had been working on my webshop for a year and a half at the time and didn't do B2B at all. I was very sceptical at first, and for the first three months it didn't work very well for me. Orderchamp told me it can start very suddenly, and sometimes it takes a while. In January 2022, things really started to pick up. In the past year, Orderchamp has added up to four new sales per week! As a result, B2B is now running even faster than B2C.

I wrote on a note as a manifestation: selling via Orderchamp was an amazing decision. This definitely worked out for me. The last year my focus has really been on B2B because it was so busy, Orderchamp took care of that.

What makes your products unique?

I find the price-quality ratio that you have with me unique. My jewelry lasts a very long time and you can buy it for a good price. I also make everything by hand and I change my collection every quarter. I don't look at what's trendy, but I listen to my gut and make things that fit my style. That keeps me unique.

Is there a meaning behind working with gemstones?

I've always been fairly spiritual and that has grown since my Bali adventure. I strongly believe in the law of attraction, manifesting and meditating. I have learned a lot from my journey and I certainly take that with me in my jewelry and gemstones. It carries a certain spirituality with it. A gemstone is also a beautiful natural product of excellent quality.

 What are your goals for the future?

Making people happy has become my drive. Engraving initials, newborn baby feet, and other personal items makes my work meaningful. That's why I want to focus more on engraving. I would also like to have my own studio, be more in the media and still realize new points of sale every week.

How do retailers feel about purchasing via Orderchamp?

Orderchamp has grown enormously and has therefore become more popular with the retailers. They find it easy and especially like the discounts and 60 days payment term. Orderchamp gives the retailers confidence.

Do you have any tips for entrepreneurs that are getting started?

What has helped me enormously are good product photos. I also always make sure that these can be used freely, this helps with the online distribution of my brand. Model photos are also very useful, as it allows customers to see what the product really looks like. A good product description is also very important.

Quality is, of course, essential, because of this the customers will come back to you. I also notice that good customer contact and quick responses are very important for retaining customers.
